Directing.

Setting the stage for artists to tell vital stories.

Directing Statement + Gallery.

I believe theatre is one of the most powerful ways we make sense of one another. At its best, it invites us to listen more deeply, imagine more generously, and leave changed. As a director, I am drawn to stories that spark conversation, celebrate joy, challenge assumptions, and illuminate the beautiful complexity of being human. My role is not to have every answer before the process begins, but to cultivate a collaborative environment where artists feel empowered to ask questions, take creative risks, and shape the work alongside one another. I approach each production with a clear artistic vision while remaining open to the discoveries that emerge through rehearsal, believing that the most compelling theatre is created when every collaborator is trusted, valued, and encouraged to bring their full self into the room.

Everything I create is grounded in a commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and community. I strive to build rehearsal spaces where artists of every background, identity, ability, and lived experience feel not only welcomed, but genuinely seen, respected, and empowered to belong. I believe thoughtful representation extends far beyond casting. It lives in the stories we choose to tell, the ways we care for one another throughout the process, and the intentional practices that make theatre more accessible and inclusive for everyone involved. Whether directing professional artists, students, or community members, I seek to create work that reflects the richness of the communities it serves while fostering empathy, curiosity, and meaningful human connection. I hope audiences leave my productions not only entertained, but feeling a little more connected to themselves, to one another, and to the world around them.
